What is Psych of Dance?

Q1: Is this a fitness class?
A: No—while we move the body, this isn’t about calorie burn or physical goals. It’s a guided movement system to release emotional buildup, regulate your nervous system, and create internal clarity.

Q2: Do I need dance experience?
A: Not at all! You don’t need to “know how to dance.” Every movement is guided and open to interpretation. If you have a body, you can do this.

Q3: Is this therapy?
A: No—Psych of Dance isn’t a therapy session and I’m not a licensed therapist. But many people describe it as “therapeutic.” It’s a system of emotional maintenance through movement—not talk therapy.

Q4: What happens in a session?
A: We start with intentional gratitude to ground. We journal to connect to what needs movement. Then we move—through guided, simple sequences that help emotions move through the body.

Q5: Do you still teach dance fitness or choreography?
A: Yes! I still teach and choreograph for dance fitness, film, and live performance. Psych of Dance is a separate lane I created for emotional maintenance through movement. Both are powerful in different ways
